How to Read a LCLU Container Number (ISO 6346)
For accurate LCLU container tracking, every container follows the international ISO 6346 standard. The first three letters represent the BIC registered owner code for Container Leasing. The 4th character is always U denoting an intermodal freight container, followed by a unique 6-digit serial number and a calculated check digit for tracking verification.
